Ultimate Tech Toolkit for Women in Business (and the simple way to make it all work together)

Ultimate Tech Toolkit for Women in Business Blog

Roxy Rhodes

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by tech, unsure which tools you actually need, or frustrated by how complicated running a business can feel – you’re not alone.

As women in business we juggle a lot: ideas, clients, family, goals, and the constant pressure to “do it all”. And when your tech stack is a random collection of apps that don’t talk to each other, it can start to feel like you’re working for the tools… instead of the tools working for you.

That’s exactly why I created the Ultimate Tech Toolkit – a friendly guide to the tools that save time, reduce stress, and help you show up confidently (without needing to be “good at tech”).

You don’t need more tools – you just need the right ones

Most business owners don’t need 27 subscriptions and a complicated setup.

You need a few reliable basics that cover the foundations:

  • A place to store your files
  • A way to capture ideas and plan
  • A simple design tool
  • A way to show up consistently online
  • A professional online presence
  • Easy payments
  • Email marketing that builds real relationships
  • A little support with content and writing
  • A clean way to communicate with clients (and your team, if you have one)

Then you can build from there – at your pace.

The Toolkit: the essentials (with quick wins)

Below is a quick overview of what’s inside the guide, plus a few “start here” tips to make it feel doable.

1) Cloud storage to keep your business life organised

When your files are scattered across your laptop, phone, emails, and random downloads folder… everything takes longer.

Tools to try: Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive
Quick win: Create one folder per client (or per project) so nothing gets lost in email threads.

2) Seamless notes & planning (capture ideas before they disappear)

Because great ideas don’t always show up during business hours.

Tools to try: Google Keep, Trello, Evernote
Quick win: Colour-code notes by category (marketing, clients, personal) so your brain can breathe.

3) Design tools (look polished, no designer needed)

You don’t need to be “creative” to look professional. You just need a template and a repeatable system.

Tools to try: Canva (my fave), Snappa, Adobe Spark, PicMonkey
Quick win: Pick your brand colours once and reuse them everywhere.

4) Social media schedulers (show up consistently, without living online)

Consistency is easier when you’re not relying on motivation.

Tools to try: Later (my fave!), SocialBee, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite
Quick win: Set up evergreen categories so your best posts keep working for you.

5) Website & online presence (your digital home)

Even if you start small, having one clear place for people to find you builds trust.

Website builders: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace.
Quick win: Make sure your website answers three questions clearly: What do you do? Who is it for? How do I book/buy/contact?

Plus many more in the guide.

Where most people get stuck (and it’s not your fault)

Even when you pick “good” tools, you can still feel overwhelmed because:

  • They don’t connect properly
  • You’re duplicating work across platforms. You’re paying for multiple subscriptions that overlap
  • You’re manually following up, chasing, and remembering everything

So you end up with a tech stack that’s technically “fine”… but operationally exhausting.

And that’s usually the moment you start thinking:

“I just want it all to be simpler.”
