Roxy
I’m Roxy Rhodes – business coach, tech trainer, qualified psychotherapist, and proud founder of the Filter Free brand. I’ve spent the last decade helping women turn big ideas into thriving, real-world businesses, with a massive mug of tea in hand.
My career has been anything but ordinary: I’ve sold sweets, worked in law, wrangled media deadlines, led retail teams, and worked across the medical and care sectors. Along the way, I discovered that the best results happen when you mix practical strategy, honest conversation, and a healthy dose of humour.
These days, you’ll find me running workshops and trainings, coaching business owners and leadership teams, or building websites and tech stacks – all mixed together! I’m a big believer in quality sleep, organised chaos, and the power of a good to-do list. My workspace is always full of post-its, cold cups of tea, and an uncountable amount of tabs open.
But Filter Free Business isn’t just about me anymore. It’s about the brilliant people I work with and the amazing community we’re building together. Our team brings together all kinds of talents, and our biggest strength is how we work side by side to help women grow.
So, whether you’re here for practical business advice, a website refresh, some tech organisation, or just a bit of encouragement and networking, you’re in the right place. We’re here to make business simple, relatable, and – most importantly – a little more fun!
Tom
Tom left his corporate job after 11 years (at Cadbury – no more free chocolate 😭) in 2023 to come and help me grow our business! Whenever I talk about the freedom a business can give you – this is the absolute epitome of it for us! Our work-life balance changed dramatically.
Tom’s skills lie in data and design. He’s backstage, analysing what we do, distilling unintelligible figures into useful data, split testing, SEOing, advertising. He’s also a design whizz and builds websites and makes videos.
In his free time (there’s no free time – we have 2 kids! But if he DID have free time…) he’d be taking them to Valley Parade to watch Bradford City, telling me all about this week’s Fantasy Football, or booking tickets to see the NY Giants. We’re ALL about the sports in our house – though we don’t support any of the same teams!
Jade
Jade also left her job to come and work with me in 2022. This was a HUGE gamble for both of us – and possibly the best decision I ever made in my business!
My baby sister’s skills lie in social media, email marketing, making tea (actually no, she’s awful at making tea!) and shouting at me – which she does a lot! No-one believes me, but she’s seriously scary!
She just gets on with things. She works at the office on Mondays generally and from home the rest of the time. She also runs her own business – Just a Second – selling pre-loved women’s clothing.
In her spare time, she’s either out metal detecting (not a joke – Finders Bleepers), trying to get some sleep as her youngest daughter hasn’t slept since she was born, or wandering round something historical with her family!
Maxine
Maxine joined us from The Social Little Bird Co in 2025! She’s an expert on all things social media, from creating incredible content to running social media audits and training courses!
Maxine has done a bit of everything up to now, from working hospitality, running her own childcare business and working in Digital Marketing Agencies.
At home she loves to spend time with her beautiful family, performing in Musical Theatre shows, and going to the beach!
